What Underwear Do I Prefer? My Honest Take on Brands, Styles & Cuts (Trunks vs Boxers vs Briefs)
Style: Trunks (not full boxers, not brief/V-cut).
Trunks give the perfect balance — enough coverage and support without feeling like you’re wearing a diaper or a tiny speedo. They sit nicely on the leg, don’t ride up, and look clean under clothes.Brand preferences (in order):
Trunks give the perfect balance — enough coverage and support without feeling like you’re wearing a diaper or a tiny speedo. They sit nicely on the leg, don’t ride up, and look clean under clothes.Brand preferences (in order):
- Calvin Klein – Classic, reliable, breathable cotton or cotton-modal blends. The cotton trunks are my top pick for everyday. Simple black, grey, or navy. Nothing flashy.
- Tommy John – If I want premium comfort. Second-skin feel, no bunching, excellent stretch and moisture-wicking. Worth the extra money for daily wear.
- Saxx or BN3TH – For better ball support (the “BallPark Pouch” concept is genius). Great if you’re active or just hate things shifting around.
- Uniqlo Airism or Supima Cotton trunks – Best budget/high-value option. Super lightweight, quick-dry, and surprisingly durable.
- Tight V-cut/briefs (too restrictive, feels like I’m constantly adjusting)
- Loose traditional boxers (too baggy, no support, rides up)
- Anything with heavy logos or loud patterns (keep it simple and masculine)
